Breast or Bottle Fed…

When I was pregnant with my first, I was insistent about two things. I did NOT want a c-section and I would NOT breastfeed! Isn’t life funny?? I ended up being “knocked out” for a c-section; because I missed that magical moment of seeing my baby come into this world, I was determined to do what only a mommy can do…breastfeed!! My body allowed me to breastfeed for 99 days. People have often found it funny that I know precisely how many days, but that’s how special it was to me! It was something that only I could do for her. Those hours of bonding are priceless memories. It wasn’t easy at first. There was pain, frustration and tears. Engorgement is real and can be a serious medical condition! With my second, I tried with everything in me for two weeks. She wasn’t able to “latch on”. The choice to breast or bottle feed is personal. EITHER way, you are still mom! If any of you have questions about nursing, please message me! If I don’t have the answer, I will go thru my group of mommy friends until I do! Just don’t allow yourself to be “mom-shamed” for a decision that is yours to make!
