Take a look behind…The Blue Door
It’s been a day or two since I’ve written a new blog post! Wondering where I’ve been? I’m now a small business owner! I still have my full time day job. I am still a content creator on Instagram. Who needs free time, right?! I chased a longtime dream of mine and created an online boutique, The Blue Door.
I grew up in a small business family. I’m no stranger to the hard work and long hours required to succeed. The satisfaction of building something on my own has been been an ember within me for years. I’m not getting any younger and neither are my gals. I decided it was now or never and jumped in.
The Blue Door is named for my actual front door that I painted blue last year. My boutique is filled with things you would find behind my blue door! Chinoiserie, handwritten letters, bright colors and bold prints are just a few of the things that come to mind when friends describe me. All of my items are personally chosen by me and reflect things that bring joy into my life.
With Covid rearing it’s ugly head in the past year, so many things have changed, including our way of shopping. No longer do I enjoy going into stores, as I once did. The fear of crowds, being close to someone, touching something that could of been contaminated, race thru my mind the entire time. Like you, I have grown to love the convenience and safety of online shopping.
My first holiday season is creeping upon me. I’m stocking my “warehouse” (a spare room in my house LOL) with tea towels, notecards, fashion earrings…and my favorite yet, charcuterie boards!
I’m including pics of a few things I offer, but encourage you to visit my site and browse my entire collection. I’d love to hear, in the comments, what your favorite is. Shop small this Christmas, as much as you can. Thanks always for unending support of @maradachaffins and now @shopthebluedoor!
