Peanut Butter Sea Salt Brownies

I have often said I could live on brownies! Although I enjoy southern home cooking, and made from scratch recipes, when it comes to brownies, I prefer a box mix!

Here is a recipe that combines peanut butter (YUM), brownies (YUM) and sea salt! I know you’re saying, “sea salt”? Trust me!!!! My mom said these are the best brownies she’s ever had. (Do you see a pattern here? My family often tells me. it’s the best “fill in the blank” they have ever had. Are they making sure I continue to cook for them? LOL)

I started with a box of Duncan Hines milk chocolate brownie mix. I use the directions on the box for cake like brownies. HOWEVER, I don’t use water. I substitue it for coffee. Actually, my cousin/bestie/aesthetician/dentist shared with ME a #usewhatyouhave tip! AWWWW…she knows the way to my heart! :) Here’s the baking hack…using a k-cup, that you just brewed a cup of coffee with, run it thru the Keurig coffee maker again. It makes a weaker cup of coffee, not suitable for drinking, but perfect to use in your batch of brownies! You get one more use out of that k-cup, before you toss it! EXCELLENT idea that works perfectly!

Spray your 9x13 baking dish with Bakers Joy. Add brownie mixture and bake at 350 for 28-30 mins. After removing them from the oven, while still warm, spread the top with peanut butter (Jif creamy is my favorite) and sprinkle with sea salt.

Let me know if you try it! Enjoy!
