Spanx Air Essentials: Worth it?

I’ve been on the fence about the Spanx Air Essentials for a while now. So many of my fashion blogger frineds have them and love them. My hesitation was Spanx is shapewear, right? We buy it to hold us in and smooth us out. I didn’t understand how these loose fitting activewear pieces would do that. Well they don’t.

I quickly learned that Spanx Air Essentials are worth every penny, but not for their ability to shape and smooth our bodies. You are paying for a high quality fabric. This fabric is referred to by so many as “buttery soft”. Not quite certain what that means? I came up with my own description. You know the tubes that can be found in the toy aisle? You can squeeze on one end and the liquid will rush to the other end. Squeeze on that end and the liquid will go back to the other. This fabric feels like that! It’s super smooth!

Secondly, you are getting an outfit that can be wore anywhere! I did not realize the versatility of this outfit until I put it on. I added this bow blouse and Santa sneakers to attend a cheer competition. I switched out the schoes for some block heel booties for an office look. Add rhinestones, a denim jacket, a scarf….the options are unlimitied. You could wear this outfit. Wash it. Style it another way the next day,. Continue this cycle and easily have a week’s worth of different looks!

Do I think they are worth the price? I absolutely .
