Viva Nash Vegas
Nashville is one of my favorite towns! Good country music is playing everywhere you go. There’s an excitement in wondering if you will see a “star”! It’s a modern town, with a wealth of history.
I’ve been to Nash-Vegas many times, but most recently accompanied a friend for business. Because of the pandemic, it was a whirlwind trip, but there was fun to be had regardless! A visit to Nash is not complete without a visit to Broadway! There is always, ALWAYS a variety of live music to be enjoyed! You never know when you will be witnessing a performance by the next big name in country music! Years ago, I enjoyed many shows by a young talent, you now know as Tyler Farr! (But until they get the big record deal, remember to drop some dollars in the pickle jar!) If country music isn’t your thing, don’t fret, “Shook Me All Night Long” was blaring onto the streets from Rippy’s!
Even if you don’t catch a show, stop by and get a photo at the Mother Church. The stained glass windows of the Ryman Auditorium make for a beautiful backdrop. Each time I visit, I stand in awe, of the historical landmark and imagine all of the legends that have graced that stage.
As I mentioned, it was a QUICK trip, but we managed to get in an early birthday dinner for yours truly! Bob’s Steak and Chop House, located inside of the Omni, gets two thumbs up from me! I had the wedge salad, the most amazing filet mignon ever and a mouth watering bread pudding! Thanks Sherry for treating me to this amazing meal! It was a splurge, but she said you only turn 25 once (yea, right!).
Some other must visits, that time didn’t allow for, are the Country Music Hall of Fame, Old Hickory Lake, Gaylord Opryland Resort and the Nashville Zoo. My thoughts are Nashville is an exciting town to visit! For me, it’s not the best choice, if my goal is rest and relaxation. There is SO much to do. A lot of walking is required. However, if fun and entertainment is what you have in mind, then Music City is THE place!!!
