Football Chocolate Chip Cheeseball
I made this football shaped chocolate chip cheeseball for our high school football tailgate this past weekend. It was the “last” first home game of the season for my youngest. There will be a lot of “lasts” this year and I’ll be sharing them all over on @maradachaffins.
Here is the easy recipe, using simple ingredients, that will be the hit of your football party. SEC football starts this coming weekend! This recipe is for a single cheeseball, the cheeseball pictured is the recipe doubled. You can purchase the ingredients here.
8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
3.4 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. mini chocolate chips
Beat 8 oz. cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract. Add powdered sugar. Stir in 3/4 c. mini chocolate chips. Form into a football shape, wrap in plastic and chill 2 hours. Cover with remaining choloate chips and use the white chocolate chips to “stripe” the football. I serve with Nilla Wafters and buttersnap pretzels.
